- Cold weather drains your battery, have your battery checked regularly
- Keep your gas tank at a minimum of 3/4 full to prevent frozen gas or gas lines
Create a Vehicle Survival Kit
- Pack and ice scraper, bag of kitty litter for traction, & blankets for you and passengers
- Pack a first aid kit with bandages and antibiotics
- Pack non-perishable items, preferably high energy treats such as dried fruit, canned nuts or hard candies
- Keep a pair of jumper cables & jack in the trunk of your vehicle
